Keep the boring format

Plain text usually survives copying, syncing, printing, and forgetting. The less a note depends on a special editor, the more likely it is to remain usable.

Check the simple limits first

Disk space, clock drift, DNS records, and expired certificates explain a surprising number of small web problems. They are also fast to rule out.

Useful pages are allowed to be quiet

A page does not need a dashboard, account system, or animated hero to earn its place. Sometimes a stable address and a few links are enough.
